ROLE Project manager
The Brooklyn Strand is a network of open space corridors that will better interconnect Downtown Brooklyn, surrounding neighborhoods, and the waterfront. Improved streets and parks, new landmark spaces and more space for events and programming will create a dynamic, central commons for Brooklyn. The Strand will become a world-class gateway to the borough meeting the needs of local communities while attracting new visitors and interest to the area. The site area includes the series of parks from Borough Hall to the waterfront (Columbus Park, Cadman Plaza, connections down Old Fulton Street and Washington Street), Jay Street Corridor, and leftover spaces along the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway from Commodore Barry Park to the anchorages of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges.
